October Dates Do Not Agree — What This Brief Files

2026-10-17

Dark Matter late September, Nexus around 2 October, keys on 7 October. Other pages pick a single day. This brief does not.

A precise day can be the least reliable line

Read five October 2026 pages and the Dark Matter exit moves. One says trouble started around 26 September. Another says every mirror died on 29 September. A third only says late September, then offline by 7 October. Nexus is steadier — deposits reported stopped around 2 October, keys reported leaked on 7 October — except where a status page waits until 9 October to call it permanent.

Darkbrief keeps the overlap: Dark Matter, late September 2026, offline by 7 October, escrow reported drained; Nexus, around 2 October, on the order of 40,000 listings, no signed PGP farewell, keys leaked 7 October. The 40,000 figure is a reported scale, not a count made here. A single scraped day is how a clone page looks exact.

Earlier September downtime talk, including a maintenance or “attacked” claim, is not the exit filing. An outage that comes back is not an exit. An exit is the stop plus the drained escrow plus the silence. Full dates: October 2026. Do not deposit. Nexus market link and Dark Matter market link are archives.
